Report on Railway Memories Day January 31st

The Sowerby Bridge Railway Memories day was well attended throughout the day.  Jim Milner’s railway notices, timetables, maps, photographs, postcards and tickets were exhibited, and John Birnie’s photographs and locomotive and wagon plates from his collection were on display.

The penultimate Sowerby Bridge Stationmaster, Harold Wainwright travelled from his home in Derby to attend the event.  He brought along photographs and other items of interest.
